Demo Paper: Helping IoT Application Developers with Sensor-based Linked Open Rules
نویسندگان
چکیده
Domain-specific Internet of Things (IoT) applications are becoming more and more popular. They process data coming from sensor measurements. Adding semantic annotations to the sensory observations and measurements can allow to reason on data via logical rules. Stemming from Linked Open Data and Linked Open Vocabularies, we have designed sensor-based Linked Open Rules (S-LOR). S-LOR allows exploiting, reusing and combining rules to help developers design and combine cross-domain IoT applications. A proof-of-concept of S-LOR is available online at http://www.sensormeasurement.appspot.com/?p=swot template

Sensor-based Linked Open Rules (S-LOR): An Automated Rule Discovery Approach for IoT Applications and its use in Smart Cities
This paper introduces an automated rule discovery approach for IoT device data (S-LOR: Sensor-based Linked Open Rules) and its use in smart cities. S-LOR is built following Linked Open Data (LOD) Standards and provides support for semanticsbased mechanisms to share, reuse and execute logical rules for interpreting data produced by IoT systems. S-LOR follows LOD principles for data re-usability,...

Due to the rapid advancements in the sensor technologies and IoT, we are witnessing a rapid growth in the use of sensors and relevant IoT applications. A very large number of sensors and IoT devices are in place in our surroundings which keep sensing dynamic contextual information. A true potential of the wide-spread of IoT devices can only be realized by designing and deploying a large number ...
متن کاملAn open and lightweight Internet of Things platform to facilitate the development of context-aware applications
The Internet of Things (IoT) has encouraged the development of innovative applications and services that make use of the enormous amount and diversity of data provided by such things to provide novel and useful services. However, to be successful, these platforms have to meet the expectations of different stakeholders, namely application developers and end-users. In this work we analyze some pr...

According to Cisco’s predictions1, there will be more than 50 billions of devices connected to the Internet by 2020. The devices and produced data are mainly exploited to build domain-specific Internet of Things (IoT) applications. From a data-centric perspective, these applications are not interoperable with each other. To assist users or even machines in building promising inter-domain IoT ap...

Physical mobility in major cities has become an ostentatious issue and connected mobility, an application of Internet-of-Things (IoT) technologies has been readily propounded to soothe the situation. The context of connected mobility, where applications generally have to be designed on an adhoc basis to meet the user requirements, has gradually shifted the art of programming from the realms of ...
